[FONT="Comic Sans MS"][SIZE="2"][COLOR="DarkOrchid"]My pain doc told me about a Dr. Robert Schwartzman from Philadelphia. He's been studying the effects of ketamine treatments, including induced comas, in patients with RSD in Germany and Mexico, (and I believe also in the US most recently), and their results suggest that the coma therapy may provide long-term and perhaps even permanent relief in as many as half of the most severe cases of RSD. Unfortunately however, insurance doesn't cover this treatment, and the short-term infusion, not the coma, can start at about $10,000... in Mexico. The coma treatment starts at around $20,000 in Mexico I believe.

From what I've read, the Hyperbaric O2 treatments are doing just as well in some of the RSD patient studies, and you can get it done in the states (FL & NM) and it's cheaper per treatment (roughly $120-$220 per treatment), but it depends on how many treatments you need to have and how long each treatment session needs to last. Of course, insurance won't pay for these for RSD patients either.
Good luck,
