Sensory nerve damage can produce tingling, numbness, and pain. Pain associated with sensory nerve damage is variously described as:

* Sensation of wearing an invisible "glove" or "sock"
* Burning, freezing, or electric-like
* Extreme sensitivity to touch

The above describes nerve damage/neuropathy. I'm NOT diagnosing you and I'm very glad you're seeing some good docs soon. I just wanted you to be aware of another "reason" for what you're feeling.

Neuropathy produces that sunburn type feeling and though this one says extreme sensitivity, other things I've read say that the sensitivity varies from mild to well extreme. LOL So you can keep this in mind to ask the doc(s) if this is something that might apply to you.

It didn't occur to me before until I talked to a friend of mine just a bit ago. Hoping for you that's all it is and that something can be done about it. I'll be waiting to hear the outcome of your appt.

Hugs,

Karen
