Ketamine
Jan 22, 2010
So I just heard from my field manager about them flying me to Seattle and going to the rehab institute of wash. Since my rsd has gotten way worse and it's spreading at a high rate they want to see if anything more can be done to in least slow it down.
I've done some research on the different methods of ketamine and I can ask about specific treatments that I'm interested in to see if I'm a good candidate for the various treatments.
I am interested in ketamine and would like some feed back from the people here who are either going through or have gone through with ketamine.
Some of the docs are talking ketamine infusion, others are talking about a ketamine IV therapy. Not quite sure what the difference is in the pain loss between these and side effects.
I have heard that with the ketamine IV therapy that it can make you very weak and in some cases very sick. But how sick is sick?
Since the symp. nerve blocks, and surgerys didn't help they have also talked about a temporary paralysis to everything hip down for around 72 hours. I have not heard of that with many people and not sure if it would do any good if it's similar to the nerve blocks.
Thanks in advance for the responses. I hope everyone is having a some what good pain day,as much as possible.
Take care and stay warm,
Deanne
