Did you have surgery on your face that caused the numbness? How long has it been since it started? Does the feeling come back from time to time,if so does it hurt when it does? As much information as you can give would be more helpful for the people on these boards that know a lot about rsd and different symptoms that come with it. There are great people on here that are more than willing to help as much as we can but it does take more information to know what to tell you.
Take care and stay warm,

Ok so you don't have to have the nerve actually cut in order to get nerve damage, there are a few different types of nerve damage that can come with surgeries.
Has it been 10 weeks since your last surgery? I just want to make sure I am understanding correctly.
Have you seen your doc recently about the numbness that you are having? Could it be because of the plates that they put in,could they be putting pressure on any of the nerves?
Does your doctor have any plans or ideas on what to do to take care of the numbness in your face or are they just telling you it will take longer for you to get feeling back and not really interested in treating the numbness?
I hope that you are able to get some help from them,if they aren't listening are willing to help you with this you may want to look into your state laws and see if you have a lack of confidence law. This law is in place in several states and sometimes you can get it through your insurance even if your state doesn't have this specific law.
It's just something that you may want to consider. You need to be your own advocate and stand up for what you want done for your health care and well being.
Good luck in your battle.
Take care and stay warm,
Deanne
