Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy (RSD) (CRPS) Board Index

There are so many threads here and I've read just a handful.

Maybe it's me, but in what I've read it seems RSD is more prevalent in feet/legs and wrist (carpal tunnel?).

Before my daughter's diagnosis, I'd heard the term "carpal tunnel" just in passing (she does not have carpal tunnel). Lots of computer people where I live. I didn't know anyone with it, just overheard the phrase, therefore basically ignored it.

My daughter's pain doctor has used carpal tunnel as an example several times. Why, I do not know. My daughter's pain is from the bend in her elbow up to her shoulder.

In short, is it just my narrowed exposure (searching the web, reading threads) or is RSD more prevalent in one or two areas initially?

I am in desperate need of RSD/CRPS 101! (I have to credit ombudsman with the latter)
