... Has anyone used a compounded transdermal gel (Ketoprofen, Ketamine, Lidocaine, Amitripyline) for their pain? How well do the transdermal gels work to reduce pain? Are there any side effects? I'm not sure which medicine works best for bone/nerve pain, and my doctor is of no help and offers no advice. Thanks for any information. (9 replies)

... My Dr. from Moffitt cancer cntr. had me try this .This stuff is the BOMB!,specially compounded from a pharmacy in Alabama.(insurance paid also.)mailed to the door next day.It has 10%Ketamine,6%Gabapentin,0.2%Clonidine,and 5%Lidocaine! It really works.This is my 3rd year on it.:D (5 replies)

... ps the some of the muscle pain, calcitonin which helps the deep down bone pain which comes after you have it a while, baclofen for the muscle spasms... and use a gel with ketamine and lidocaine. Other than that, I don't use "pain medication"... I have not found any that help, so I just don't go there. ... (2 replies)
... only take the edge off the pain, at least for me, and a body will build up a tolerence to them over time, so making the dose even higher. Ask your doctor about ketamine gel. I rub this on my knee 3 times a day and it numbs the area for me and gives some relief. ... (7 replies)
