Hi Knave, the block you need for RSD in the foot is a lumbar sympathetic nerve block, My pain management dr would put me to sleep for mine, my doctor would have me lay on my belly and use a fludroscopic xray to guide the needle in the lower mid back on my left side, my left foot and leg have RSD, I never felt a thing was able to walk out with out any help after the anethesia... ... Hi Delta, yes it sounds like spread to me, ask for a lumbar sympathetic nerve block right away! When my RSD spread to my left hand and arm I got a nerve block just a week later, and it really helped. my left hand has RSD but I do not have any bad symptoms there. ... (12 replies)

... I get Lumbar Sympathetic Nerve Blocks, which help with the pain in my left leg. For some people they completely take away the pain for up to 3 months, for other people only an hour. But it is definitely worth a try in my opinion. ... (7 replies)
