I'm not being offered or receiving the pump...they wanted to last time however there were not enough medical professionals around to care for such a pump 24/7/365. And so it ended there. ... Hi Sandy, Good for you for researching and finding out who does the infusions!! I have found that we really have to advocate for ourselves and take the lead in our treatment. Mine is a WC case also and the insurance has denied certain treatments such as orthotics and orthopaedic shoes ..which is why I'm still wearing flip-flops (I wear them to work with socks !) because no... ... Hey Michelle, You know how I feel on this matter.. Yes he is without a doubt "The Man" for rsd.. But what good is he when you have to wait 8+ months to see him? god forbid you have some type of emergancy and need his help what do you then then? I understand your situation. ... I just need to vent.. I am a pt of Dr Schwartzman in Pa.. Suppose to be one of the top notch drs for RSD.. I had been treated back in Sept for a lidocaine infusion and my follow up was suppose to be in May.. Eight months later.. Ok.. that frustrated me.. But what can you do.. ... egs have had that molted look.. Slight burning.. I just put on sweat pants.. I don't have the bad swelling and I think that helps alot.. I still swear by the lidocaine infusion.. I think it helped so much.. I see the specailist on may 12th.. I am so curious to see what he has to say.. I've waited 10 months for this appt.. ... (47 replies)

... At first I wasn't able to put my feet on the ground.. Touching the rug hurt so bad. It wasn't until I had my first lidocaine infusion.. YOu don't hear about that to much.. I guess not to many drs use this treatment.. But it helped for me.. ... (47 replies)

I am not sure if you remember, I was in for the lidocaine infusion and it was cut short due to an allergic reaction.. My follow up was 8 month later.. Cant wait to hear what he has to offer.. ... ... Mary, I hope you went to the Dr. I pray that you are OK now. Did you find out what happened. Reason being my pm dr is thinking the scs or the lidocaine infusion. From what I read the scs is really something a person has to consider. Again I hope everything is OK now. ... (2 replies)

... I was completely off of them 3 months post SCS implantation, but was back on them 5 months post SCS implant. I am sorry that you ended up being allergic to the lidocaine infusion. It is so frustrating to find something that helps....and then have it taken away. ... (4 replies)
