When I had to wear a brace, I had to use a Lidocaine patch with it because where the brace ended, it would rub on my leg and that would cause tremendous pain! ... Lidocaine infushion is just a IV. Its a 5 day stay in the hospital. Your on the cardiologist floor. Its high doses. unlike the lidocaine patch.. It lowers your heart rate alot. This is why your on the cardio floor hooked to heart monitors.. Basically you do nothing but lay there.. ... (3 replies)

... wich settled down some of the irritation and swelling. She also prescribed Neurontin 300mg. I take 2 at bedtime and 1 in the morning. This helps tremendously with the cramps. I was referred to a Pain Management Center and had 3 Lumbar Epidural Sympathetic Nerve Blocks. These blocks were very successful. ... (14 replies)

... I used the lidocaine patches for a while, to see if I would be able to get relief from them.. I however did not get relief, but everyone with RSD is different, so the treatment may well work for you. The patches do little to hinder you at all. ... (5 replies)
