... blocks are only diagnostic. feels awsome for a bit but still they only confirm the dianosis. You need heat, vaso dialators, Good pain control with Cymbalta, and Lyrica withe No narcotics preferrably otherwise what ever helps you. ... (2 replies)

SweetPeainSF, I had several of the SGB, tried cymbalta(caused heart to race & terrible headache),Lyrica(helped with pain but blistered only left side of tongue) so my Dr told me not to take it, neurotin( no relief) hydrocodone 10mg(didn't help), I was told there was nothing else to try. ... I did not realize you have CP as well? So you have CP and CRPS? Or is it just CRPS? We have to help ourselves sometimes. I tried all kinds of the drugs they wanted me too, only because I am working with work comp, so they have to pay for anything my pain specialist-Dr. Prager recommends. I also see a psychiatrist so he was prescribing me my pain pills, as Dr. Prager says... (13 replies)
... Cardshark, That's great news! Where will you have it done? I am on a waiting list yet. My RSD has recently spread from arm to both feet so my meds were changed a little. Lyrica, cymbalta, lidoderm and now oxycontin. Your right I have gained 12lbs which is a lot when your 5'2"! ... Our bodies become dependent on the meds...that goes for anything, even muscle relaxers and other ones like lyrica or cymbalta, any med at all. Our bodies will become tolerant of a certain dose after awhile and we need to up the dose. ... (11 replies)
