... I too think you should take the Lyrica. I would also say you should go to a pool and exercise as much as possible in deep water to keep the blood flowing to the affected area and prevent the muscle atrophy. The previous answer is right, the more pain you have the less likely you are to use the limb, the less the blood flow and muscle you will have and the more like it will... (2 replies)

... It takes away the burning pain but it also has allowed me to decrease my Celebrex for Arthritis by 100 mg so it helps both types of pain. The thing with Lyrica is that it works at the spinal level, helping block the pain messages from getting to the brain. ... (4 replies)

... Hey tortoisegirl, I've only been going to this doc for 6 wks.and she wants to see me every two wks. She actually lowered my opioid pain meds and started me on Lyrica and eventually she's gonna put me on a 24 hr pain med to go along with the lyrica.
