... hi justine, yes my orthropedic doctor felt my rsd would burn out, 2 years later i'm worse than i was. orthropedic's do not understand the whole scope of the rsd disease, and i guess in some cases if the person improves and the pain is less, i guess that would be considered burn out. ... I also began seeing a different therapist who had some knowledge of rsd and i went daily for several months. ... As with all things rsd, what works for one may not work for another. The lidocaine infusions have helped some rsd'ers. I'm sure it depends on how advanced rsd is, but it never hurts to ask.
