... An scs is tricky, IMO. I've seen many get it, over the past almost 6 years I've had rsd, and a lot of them, end up with complications and a lot of spreading. I don't want to scare anyone but I firmly believe that "sugar coating" things or saying it might help isn't helping at all. ... (39 replies)
... A renown clinic in Cleveland recommended that I have a scs implant, having tried every single other paths of treatment. Reported complications keep me from proceeding. ... i'm so sorry to hear all that,but i defenitaly can relate. my first scs surgery went fine. two wekks into recovery it broke, the second surgery was a success, then low and behold i also got an infection. it was truly horrible. there are a few months that i don't even remember. drs say this is normal and that the not remembering is part of the bodys' defense mechanism. anyway,... ... o knee surgeries. I had a 3rd surgery in Dec. and can now bend my knee. YEAH!! But it is very painful still. "Cattys", my pain managment dr. wants me to try the spinal cord stimulator also.
