Thought Intrusion

... There's no reason to let thought intrusion/insertion drive you crazy. Just think of your heart centre as a chakra centre and focus on it. You will immediately stop the voices from wreaking their havoc. Personally, i also take clonazepam which calms and controls the heart without having to focus on it all day. This is good for me because I have to hold down a job, cook for my... (20 replies)

... Let me guess. The intrusions are always related to the opposite of your own opinions. Thus just about everything about you is being insulted. The nasty part about it is that the statements are stamped with your " SELF " identity. In other words, thoughts are always attached to an identity of some kind. It may be a place, or another person, but either way they are tagged.... (20 replies)

... Personally, I was very neurotic in High School. Couldn't stop thinking. At about 18 I finally calmed down and thought I could stop thinking completely. Then, after a broken heart, I started having, let's call them, "panic attacks." Then I turned into a zombie for four years. ... (20 replies)

... That's what it wants you to believe. It wants you to believe the voices are in your head. Trust me when I say this, all thought comes from the heart. It's so easy to verify I have no idea why no one seems to find the same things. ... (15 replies)
... My friend what you describe happens to me as well, and might I add I may be responsible for transmitting thoughts that are captured by other people, without that being my intention. I'm still trying to understand this process and try to control it, but my advise to you is to just ignore those thoughts, and don't try to understand them. I believe that this is not a pathological... (20 replies)

... I'm not a psychiatrist, but from what you've described, it's quite possible that you could have experienced mania in the past. Some of the symptoms of mania include feeling extremely happy, as if you have tons of energy, restlessness, heightened creativity, increased productivity, difficulty concentrating and/or making decisions, feeling overconfident, tackling several... ... Well, I'm glad we're on good terms. It's seems we may have exhausted all avenues of conversation, seeing as how we pretty much now a lot about the same things. Anyhow, I was wondering about mania, because there have been brief periods in my history where I felt a certain euphoria come over me usually in connection to the weather and the sounds of people around me enjoying them... ... I fully understand and appreciate anxiety and delusions. I've had delusions as a symptom of my bipolar for the past 3 years -- actually longer according to the psychiatrist (pdoc) who diagnosed me back then who said that I've been bipolar since 1991 (age 20) because I clearly showed all of the signs, but didn't know it because I didn't understand what bipolar was let alone... ... Okay. Shame on me. I'm blushing now. Sorry, guy. Relax. I can change. (Inside joke:) Please don't take offense. I realize you're a woman. It's just that "guy" is a sort of homosexual term of endearment I used to have with the devil.) Anyway... Furthermore, your "furthermore" was uncalled for. I do in fact understand psychosis and schizophrenia very well (maybe better than... (20 replies)

... By the way, when I hear voices, they are very real. When I don't hear them, I know they aren't, but that kind of logic goes out the window if I've lost touch with reality. (20 replies)

... As someone who has been hearing voices for the past 17 years, I can assure you that I've tried just about every so-called "solution" under the sun yet none of them have helped. I really don't see how it's possible to focus your energy *anywhere* when you hear voices -- especially if you are at the point (as I am 99% of the time) where you've lost complete touch with reality.... ... No, I'm afraid that won't work in my case. How can you stop the voices if you've lost touch with reality and can't even think clearly??? The ONLY thing that helps me are meds. Please do not mislead people into believing that they can control their voices by focusing on their heart because hearing voices is so much more complicated than that. I really is. I've been hearing... (20 replies)

... I wanted to add that I asked a licensed professional counselor whom I've known for a long time if it was possible for me to focus on the center of chakra whenever I hear voices and she told me this requires alot of mental power and concentration that is normally not available to someone experiencing hallucinations. At least I feel better knowing that this isn't a weakness on... (20 replies)
