When you find the cure please let me know. For 10 years I have sufered with sleeping disorders. The only thing thta worked which I can not linger find anywhere is believe it or not NIghtime Midol. Dr's have given me Valium, Xanax, Ambien, muscle relaxers. Valium stopped working after the second night, Xanax actually made me hyper and Ambien was way bad for me. DId not go well with my body chem at all. Half a pill and I woke up like in exactly 8 hours like the bottle said I would but I could not speak. I slurred my words and an hour later I had the worst migraine of my life. I could not remember things and felt depressed. Went searching for info and found out that there are major side effects that if one is allerigic to it can have. Weird I got that bad my dad takes them with no problems at all. For the past 7 years faithfully I took 2 maxinum strength Sleepinal pills with a valium and a darvocet and ear plugs.
I stopped all caffine, mini thins, Hydroxycut, no food 3 hours before bed stuck to one time shift at work then eventually walked out of work and never went back. Added candles aroma therapy and weekly deep tissue massages and LOTS of water. The massages had to stop after a year way to expensive and insurance did not cover them after I quit work. However after many sleepless nights and lots of crying it has took about 3 years for me to finially sleep about 5 hours a night. Now the only thing I take is 2 max sleeping pills and still use earplugs. I am sure my liver is shot. I tried all the herbal stuff too like the teas and stuff but nothing was a 100% cure. It has taken a long time to purge my body of all the stuff I tried to go to sleep. I think the most painfull thing for me to stop was the caffine. I got bad headaches and was double cranky with out my cola.

Have you tried the teas and a hot bath right before bed. There is chamomile, St John's Wart, Kava Kava, and Valerian. If you do not like the teas there are drops that you put under your tounge. If I think of anything else I will post again. Hope youa re getting some sleep now. Oh yeah, I found if I lay in bed for longer than an hour with out falling asleep that I would end up never falling asleep. If I would get up and do a chore or two and try again I'd have a results falling asleep. Mid you I was not sleep long but it was better than nothing at all.

EDIT: I just thought of another thing try 3mgs of Melatonin. You can get those at about anywhere. Walgrees Eckerds, Walmart etc :wave:
