For about 2 months now I have been able to sleep more than 5 hours at a time and have a very hard time falling asleep. I can literally have 3 hours of sleep in 36 hours and STILL have a hard time getting my body to fall asleep. I lay in bed and as soon as my body relaxes, I wake up fully, and I do this over and over again for hours. It's to the point where I just lay in bed at night, crying, feeling as though I'm going crazy.

So I went to the doctor and got Ambien 10 mg two days ago. First night, it put me right to sleep and worked for 6 hours, and I experienced memory loss (scary!) for the hour before going to sleep. Second night it took me 1.5 hours to get to sleep and only lasted 4 hours.

Here are some other symptoms I'm feeling, which I started out thinking were due to insomnia, but I just "don't feel right":

-constant headache
-nausea
-lack of appetite
-restless legs (when extreme lack of sleep)
-Missed period times 3 months
-And a generalized ache all over

I used to be really good at sleeping, 12 hours was easy for me to pull off, so 4 and 5 hours at a time is very unlike me and I honestly feel like it's driving me crazy.

Any opinions?
