[img][/img] I am 29 years old. I have been rocking in bed before I can remember. It is just an urge that I get when I lay down to sleep. I thought I was weired and messed up or lightly autistic. I don't do it much anymore when I lay down in bed because I don't want to disturb my wife. I do continue to rock while I am working on my computer or while I watch TV. I can control it enough that when I have guests over I won't rock. I however have started to do it at work. I don't realize I am doinging it until someone comes in and points it out to me. I then start to feel embarrassed.

I still get the feeling that there is something wrong with me. Is there something wrong with me? Do I need psychological help? Can it be cured?

Rocking in bed to me seems innocent enough, unless it disturbs your wifes sleep. But It could also be an underlying psychological problem. Which uncovering may cause more problems than the rocking. My sister is 39 and still rocks in bed. My concern is your rocking during the day.I recommend seeing a doctor, who might prescribe a mild tranquilizer. You may have anxiety disorder and not really have any reason for it.But short term medical treatment might help. I have had restless legs since i can remember. Klonopin is a real good drug to quiet the jerking and agitated feeling. It might work for the rocking. I suggest seeing your doc ASAP. good luck
