Hi. I've been reading some posts and have really enjoyed the reposes people are getting so I thought I would put my "story" out there for some feedback.

As mentioned in topic, I'm a 30 y/o male. I guess I've been haveing trouble sleeping for about 6 years now. Durnig those years 3mg melatonin has done the trick so I've never given much thought to it.

Lately though (last month or two) things have been getting worse. From 2 or 3 nights in a row where I can't fall asleep to now where it seems I can't get to sleep at all.

I've had a pre-screening apointment at a sleep centre and have a folow up test coming up to rule out sleep apnea. The Dr. is pretty sure that it's anxiety related insombia though.

I think he's right. I'm tired, but I can't relax, I worry about falling asleep and then of course I don't. This usually happens when I "have to" fall asleep i.e. weeknights. On weekends it's often all I can to do to stay up past 9:30, LOL.

My Dr. has given me Rhovane for the short term, until my sleep studys are complete, but he is adament that this is only a TEMPORARY solution and is not ready to let me become dependant on medication to sleep at 30.

When I do finally get to sleep, I usually stay asleep, and have a hard time getting out of bed when that alarm goes off.

So I guess I'm at a bit of a loss. I don't know of any concious stress that I am under, other than to sleep at night, and it really worries me.
