... My Dr put me on this recently. I take 1/2 of a 50mg pill and I sleep very good. I have been sick lately and taking codeine cough syrup so I have not been taking the trazadone. When I was taking it though, I would sleep through the night, and I didn't wake up to groggy. It took me a few days to figure out what was the right amount. It said to start with 1, but that was a... ... I have taken it for depression and insomnia for about two weeks. It helped quite a bit for both, but it made me near manic at times. I am experiencing constant nausea at 50 mg. Aside from dropping the dose, what helps? My sleep is almost normal now and I don't want to give that up! Yeah, dopey as hell in the morning too. (11 replies)

... Try melatonin - it worked for me. Take a 1 mg melatonin and break it into one-quarters. Then take only 1/4 as this is closer to the physiological dose. If you wake up at night you can take another 1/4 and still be in physiological range. Your pineal gland normally makes about .45 to .75 mg melatonin. It gave me no side effects. (15 replies)
