I have been reading a lot about everyones dreams they are having while using Chantix and what I find interesting is that a majority of people, including myself, seem to be dreaming of celebrities. Madonna and Janet Jackson were babysitting for me. I can't really recall, but it does not seem that I dreamed of celebrities prior to taking the Chantix. I just find it interesting there seems to be a common bond here. Maybe NBC, ABC and Fox got togehter with Chantix to subconsciously make us think of dream of our favorite celebs, LOLOL.
I would say I am disappointed I haven't had any rich and famous visit me in my dreams, but after hearing about Harvey Kietel sans clothing, I'm not going to push my luck!

:jester:

Wait! I forgot about Oprah! I don't even like or ever watch Oprah!
I haven't had any wild dreams yet!! I was actually looking forward to them! LOL Maybe when I start the 1mg tabs ??

It's like a new adventure every night. Some of the dreams, well let's just say, they are very vivid. Can't really post some of them but you get the idea:) Actually excited to sleep to see what dream will occur tonight
Wait. That was poor. Envision Matt Damon or someone - I just envisioned Clint Eastwood with disappointing results... He's lovely but as a grandfather or someone.
I think I'll aim for a shirtless Ryan Reynolds with chocolate for tonight! Yummy! The chocolate of course. ;)
Hey Freeforme - I had some of those too, but nobody else mentioned them, so I was like, man, those poor people!! Hehehehe....

LOL, good to know someone else is getting "bonus" dreams from the Chantix. Maybe this non-smoking is going to be okay after all,LOL

LOL... kinda how I was thinking about the amazing sex side effect that only one other person has mentioned!
Funny how they start coming out of the woodwork. I guess we won't be sharing those dreams with the group, huh? Hehehehe....

Okay - off to bed. Hey - you know, come to think of it, somebody did mention they slept alot, like all day long. That's probably why!!! They were just too shy to admit it!

:D
Lets see Sunday night which was day1 of the first week I dreamed where Hubby and I were in a hotel where the stairs changed every 3 seconds. Last night my 2nd day I dreamed Hubby and I went to Colorado and we on a rollercoaster that involved 3 mountains in a convertible. Every half mile this coaster place had people stationed at the side of the ride working on cicuit boards and they kept an eye on the people riding as well as the ride itself. One of the people keeping an eye on the ride was Chuck Norris and as Hubby and I got close to him he called out my name and asked me how I was doing. Hubby wanted to know how he knew me. Then tonight 3rd day on Chantix Hubby and I took a nap and I dreamed He, I, Bobby Flay and Flay's wife were at a dance and Bobby flirted with me. I have always had dreams but nothing like this, lol.

Haha! That was me! :D ;)
Nice Lucy.....way to go. Heeheehe

Yeah Marguerite - I just read about your dreams on the "sleepy" thread -and posted back there. Too funny!! See, the side effects aren't ALL bad!!!
Skimmer,
Yeah, the dreams are good and very nice. But i wonder when you finally stop taking Chantix do you miss the dreaming? lol

Marguerite
Wow, this is just too funny. I've been dreaming of George Clooney!! Before Chantix, I don't believe that I've every dreamed of him, but for the past week he visits me every night (;
Wait. That was poor. Envision Matt Damon or someone - I just envisioned Clint Eastwood with disappointing results... He's lovely but as a grandfather or someone.
Ooooh no  , Delighted, you need to envision Clint when he was young (think "The Beguiled" or some other old western). Aaahhhh, now isn't that better?! ;)

I am so bummed I did NOT get the dream side effect!
I think my Chantix must be blanks cos I've had no interesting dreams. In the UK the med is called Champix. They must have removed the movie channel from it and changed the name. I WANT A DISCOUNT:D
Paula! You're completely right!! I was just looking at Clint the wrong way!! What was I thinking? Beguiled? He was a knockout...Currently, I'm trying to get my dreams to include Tommy Lee Jones. Unfortunately, it's not like ordering in..the subconscince (?) is pretty stubborn...like the smoking craves that we all get.
That's the ONLY way I see him (young and oh so hot)! The Beguiled is an oldie and one that a lot of people never heard of. He plays a soldier (I think a confederate but it may be a yankee). He gets hurt and a girl from an 'all girl' school finds him and brings him back to the school to recover. I won't tell you how it ends but I will tell you his character is NOT NICE, which makes me think that may be why the movie wasn't popular.

I wish we could tell our minds what to dream! Have a great, smoke-free, day!

Yummy!!

Isn't it funny that no one is dreaming of musicians or NASCAR drivers....just movie stars?

Hmm... weird huh??? Maybe I could try and get a visit from Dave Matthews tonight??
Hello, i'm a new member. Finishing 3 full days of Chantix-assisted smoke-free living! I am very encouraged by the results. I had been a two-pack a day smoker, and the big issue i seem to face now is "what to do" in place of the rituals i associate with smoking......coffee in the morning, driving, surfing the web in my hotel room, etc.

Basically, i have figured out that i actually need to plan and think about what i want to do, and just "do something". Read, workout, walk, whatever......

But the dreams.

Wow.

I've had them for 2 of the last 3 nights. Some humorous, and yes, like others have written - a celebrity was featured (it was just bizarre. In the dream i encountered "The Burt Reynolds Sunglass Factory"). That one was humorous enough, i suppose.

Last nights, well, it was just disturbing. A vivid nightmare.

But it's a small price to pay for what i hope to achieve. Becoming smoke-free. Bring 'em on! :)

Nick
That's pretty cool - I have dreams, and I love them. But haven't once dreamed of a celebrity. Mine are all of people I personally know.

Lucky you!!! I was reading this thread wondering how I could get George Clooney in my dreams. Hey - I'd even settle for Brad Pitt.

I'm not taking Chantix, but wearing my patch 24/7. I keep it on at night because I enjoy the dreams too.
This is so funny! Have enjoyed reading about everyone's bizarre dreams. I started Chantix (or Champix as its called in the UK) last Tuesday and have ad increasingly vivid and extravagant dreams. Last night I dreamt about Sting - thankfully in his gorgeous 'Police' days. I am enjoying it hugely. Has anyone else found it almost impossible to wake up in the morning?? I am like a zombie!
I have always had a hard time waking up in the am, but have recently noticed that it has been even harder than normal. Is this a real side effect of Chantix?
