Chantix Rx Savings
Apr 18, 2008
... I just found out something interesting and thought I'd pass it on to other Chantix users. There's a woman who writes a once a week article in our newspaper about her experiences while quitting smoking. ... (1 replies)
... Danel: Our health insurance didn't pay for Chantix, guess they'd rather pay to treat the diseases that smoking causes. Makes no sense. We did get a 10% discount at the pharmacy because we are members of AAA. Go figure. The way I looked at it was if I could buy one pack of cigarettes a day (@ $5 per pack), it was cheaper to buy Chantix. Good luck! (3 replies)
Chantix Rx Savings

... Just a quick update, went to the pharmacy to order refill and ask them about the AAA discount and they said "Oh sure, the discount is 15%". Told her I wished someone had told me that 60 days ago and got a blank stare in return. Good thing this is one of my good days :) Since rx for a month is $130, savings amounts to almost $20. Every little bit helps. (1 replies)

... Triple A gives a discount for Chantix at CVS! Be sure to ask for it. ... (11 replies)
... he body by three days, so maybe I am struggeling with the emotional and mental withdraw. Who knows right. I can't believe that Pfizer won't help you even with a discount due to your situation. That just isn't right. See if you can get your MD to write a letter of medical necessity. ... (11 replies)
... I think my Chantix must be blanks cos I've had no interesting dreams. In the UK the med is called Champix. They must have removed the movie channel from it and changed the name. ... (23 replies)
... Vette, I have been quit now for the second day, feeling fine, once in a while I get an urge, just chew on a straw or take a deep breath and it passes. There isn't anything that they could do? Did you tell them that your ins. doesn't cover it? I know that they can still offer steep discounts. Call them again and be more assertive, let them know that you just had back... (11 replies)
... Our insurance didn't cover it either. But when I went to my dr. for the script - I asked for samples, they didn't have any but said they always have coupons. The coupon she gave me was for $10 off each month. Our pharmacist asked if I wanted to use the $10 per script or all at once. Since I ALWAYS have a sensitivity to meds I opted for the "all at once" deal. ... (11 replies)

... Welcome! Congrats on taking the healthiest plunge of your life! Keep reading and participating here and taking your pills and you will do great!!! Just a word re: the $. If you have a discount warehouse in your area (BJ's, Costco, Sam's) and they have an Rx dept. you may save yourself a few dollars. An Rx here in Boston was $127 at Stop & Shop; however, someone led me... (15 replies)
Day two
Mar 29, 2007
... I wish your husband and niece the best of luck, dragonfly_gurl!! And if it doesn't work out for them that way, they can at least see what success you have been having. This is like my 9th (or so) and LAST time I'm quitting smoking. I do consider though, that the previous 8 times were all learning lessons to get me here, and steps to getting me smoke free before I was dead. ... (14 replies)
... I hate to say it but I've been on the other side and until you are ready to quit, you just don't want to hear it from someone else. Prior to quitting (yippee, 24 days), anytime someone said anything to me, I would 'get an attitude'. Damn, I knew all the reasons that I should quit; I knew (unbeknownst to anyone else) that I felt like CRAP but I felt trapped and afraid to even... (8 replies)
