It's still called an anterior cervical discectomy, the difference is that it's done WITHOUT FUSION. it's done endoscopically. I have virtually no noticeable scar.

if bone spurs are the main culprit of your pain however, this procedure won't work. it's mainly for treating disc herniations only...

there aren't many dr's in the country who perform such a procedure. mine was done by Dr. Merrill Reuter in Lake Worth Florida at Advanced Orthopaedics of South Florida.
