New To This Board
Jul 30, 2008
Hi all. I am new here. I have my MRI results so I thought I would start there. I have been lingering on the back problems board and was advised to post here.
I have been sick for 3 years. Started with swollen lymph nodes, low grade fevers and night sweats. Had node biopsied and was nothing. Then my back began to ache sooo bad. I have scoliosis so I just pushed thru. Then began all over pain, muscles twitching 24/7 all over body. Numbness and tingling in feet and hands. Feet hard to lift like cement blocks. Word recall gone, memory shot, hard to sleep ect ect.
I have been tested for everything including bone marrow biopsy, lupus, ms, leukemia ect ect. Dx with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, fibromyalgia, thyroid disease.
Now I thought I should get back to the basics on where it all began. So I went to back doc. Did x-rays and said looked liked collapsed discs So had MRI. They are not as bad as I had hoped b/c I want answers and to get my disability.
Here goes. I only have two bulging discs in lumbar spine nothing too major. So I'll just post cervical.
There is decrease in cervical lodosis. Moderate degeneration of the disc of C5-C6 and C6-C7.
At C4-5 there is minimal chronic disc/osteophyte complex measuring 2mm. At C5-6 there is moderate to severe disc complex centrally located and to the left side. There is mild indentation upon the thecal sac no pressure on the cord seen. There is moderate narrowing of the left and minimal on the right.
At C6-C7 there is moderate chronic complex of broad nature msg 3mm. There is mild flattening of the thecal sac.
In addition at this level there is a small round signal intensity in the foramen msg 5mm. This may indicate unusual CSF fluid due to narrowing, however other etiologies including neurofibroma cannot be excluded.
A repeat contrast study is reccomended.

Sorry this is so long. I forgot to say that one of my most dibilitating symptoms is dizziness. And my shoulders and arms ache so bad. Also at night especially I have pain down the back of both legs all the way to my feet. Which feel pulsating and swollen. But are not.

If anyone has any input I would greatly appreciate it. I have to do PT 3 x wk for one month and supposed to take Lyrica but I took it on the first day and was knocked out on my butt. I have 2 little boys to raise here!

Has anyone had dizziness due to cervical problems? How about any of the other things? And what may happen after PT doesn't work?

I will now begin studying this. As I have been looking for answers everywhere but here.
Thanks so much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
