Spinal Cord Disorders Message Board

Spinal Cord Disorders Board Index

Posted the other day, no responses, guess no one can relate to what my pain is...not surprised, doctors can't even figure it out. Anyways, got the final report from the MRI, thought someone might give me a clue as to what this might mean...referral for a new spine specialist is in and should be seeing in the next few weeks.

Here's the report:

The cerebellar tonsils lie in the posterior fossa. The caliber and T2 signal of the spinal cord from the foramen magnum to the inferior T5 vertebral body level, the C1 through C7 vertebral body heights, the T3, T4 vertebral body heights are wihin the range of normal variation.

T1 and T2 have mild chronic anterior vertebral body wedging. Although the anterior inferior margin of T5 is partially excluded from the inferior field of view, the T5 vertebral body height is suspected to be within the range off normal variation. The C5-C6 disc has mild suspected degenerative signal loss.

C2-C3, C3-C4: the thecal sac and neural foramina pare patent.

C4-C5: C4-C5 has a midline to right posterolateral disc bulge, without suspected impingement upon the spinal cord or the C4 neural foraminal nerve roots.

C5-C6: The C5-C6 disc has mild suspected degenerative disc height loss. The c5-C6 disc has midline to right posterolateral disc bulging with right posterolateral disc protrusion/herniation indenting the anterior thecal sac, without impingement upon the spinal cord or the C5 neural foraminal nerve roots.

C6-C7, C7-T1, T1-T2: the thecal sac and neural foramina are patent.

T2-T3 through T4-T5: The thecal sac and neural foramina are suspected to be patent on the sagittal sequences.

Incidental neural foramina Tarlov cysts include involvement of the bilateral T1 neural foramina.

sorry for any typos, just pounding it out...any clues on what all this mumbo jumbo means?
