Hello everyone,

This may be an odd question, but I'm hoping someone else has experienced it.

I had an anterior cervical discectomy (c5-6, C6-7) corpectomy (c6) with fusion and harms cage implant on 11/11/08. I had a speedy and wonderful recovery and am doing wonderful until yesterday. I have even been doing some light jogging again.

I work in an office all day staring at a computer and doing paperwork. Yesterday I turned my head to the left like I do a thousand times a day and heard a pop in my neck, which was immediately followed by pain. The pain is at the base of my skull and higher than my implant. The pain is better today but I still feel it and the stiffness. Has anyone else ever had this happen??

I don't see my orthopaedic surgeon again until November for my next checkup and x-rays. Has anyone else had this happen? My surgeon said my fusion is moving along well and that there is no fear of the implant moving.

I'm worried though, but I think like most people we get a little overly cautious for fear of going through the surgery and pain again. I am so freaked out I don't even want to tell my husband because he worries everytime I get a headache again.

Thanks,
