Spinal Cord Disorders Message Board

Spinal Cord Disorders Board Index

Hi, Darius  I had surgery on 2/24/03 and some days are better than others. I was taking Darvocet for a couple of weeks which made me too sleepy so I then switched to Ultracet, which made me a little queezy. I haven't been taking anything lately and do have some trouble sleeping but I always did.

I went back to work yesterday - just temping, so this job is only two days this week. Eventually I will have to find something full-time and permanent.

Recently I've been having some stiffness and I still have some numbness under my chin and itchy at incision site. The weakness in my legs that some of the doctors think is myelopathy caused by the herniated disc had gone away for a couple of weeks after surgery but now is back. I wonder if the medication was masking the symptoms or if it is from something else other than my neck. Yes, backing out of a parking space is not as easy but they said there would be some loss of range of motion.

How is it for you working? Do you do a lot of sitting or computer work at your job?

Take Care,
Renee
