Pain........
May 26, 2003
Ok you all,
I've got a question. When you do a physical activity and you know that eventually you will hurt, is it ok to continue in the pain for a while? Is is hurting anything? It's not gonna make anything worse, right? And it's not a killing pain. It's a mild to moderate pain in my left shoulder and sometimes in my upper and mid back. Just trying to decide at which point I need to stop doing the many activities that does this.
Thanks,
Midge

Hi Midge,

I asked my PT the same question...I have DDD and so I'm always sorer in the evenings...she told me that if my pain level was not back to lower in the morning like it usually is that that should be my red flag...that I've pushed too hard and need to ease up and/or rest up...I sure hope she's right because that's what I've been doing...no matter what the pain level is I keep going (unless it get's to where I can't stand it anymore)...as long as in the morning the pain level is lower again...I too am curios to see what others have been told.

Take Care,
