fkissam~

I am 9 months postop from a ACDF with a 2 level at C4-5, C5-6 also with a corpectomy at 5. I also had the numbness under the chin. I am happy to tell you that it does get better. At least in my case it has. The only thing I did and still do it rub the area under my chin with just my finger. I don't think using any of the thing that you mentioned will make a difference but it wouldn't hurt. I don't know if my rubbing it helped at all either. I know it works for the incision site.

Yes, to your question about it taking up to a year for the numbness to go away. Remember what they had to do and use to do the surgery so the nerves have been messed with some. Nerves heal at a rate of about an inch a month so it can take that long.

Sorry I wasn't much help. Just give it some time.
