... Hi, Well I can realte to all you have written. I had an ACDF C5-6-7 in 10/2002. Within 2 weeks post-op the pain was unbearable. To make a long story short, I switched surgeons and was sent for a myelogram that revealed stenosis at c6-7 from a bone spur and c4-5 was herniated. My life has been miserable ever since that first surgery. Was your post-op MRI with contrast???... (19 replies)

Just like dennisgb, I had surgery ACDF on 6/30/04 at C5-6 and C6-7. No specific cause or accident for the bulging disks--just years of computer use. My NS used donor bone... (3 replies)

... Iím new to the site and have tried to read other cervical spine posts in order to get informed. My problem is that my MRI results, to a degree, donít really mention spinal stenosis. I have had pain in my neck and shoulder; pain, burning, tingling and sometime numbing in my shoulder, arm and hand. My Rheumatologist wanted me to start PT and see a neurosurgeon, so I... (2 replies)

Then got worse in 30s and then in 40s got very bad. Always kept myself in good shape. The past year was so bad. My neurologist said to seek opinions. I too didn't want any surgery bit decided to do an acdf... (34 replies)
... I just had my 2nd neurosurgeon consultation, this time it was someone I specifically asked for after much research. He basically told me there are 3 options, as follows: Option 1: Do nothing. The doctor indicated that my disc at C5-6 will give me greater problems sooner/later in time; the disc will slowly degenerate further and dry out to the point when surgery will be the... (16 replies)
... Hi everyone: I am new to the group and am so thankful for the support. Two years ago I had an ACDF at C5-C6. The surgery went fine but I have been living in chronic pain for the past year.
