... Thanks for the feedback. Since my post I have just finished the 3 day Prednisilone oral course which has helped alleviate some of the pain. However, now for the first time I am getting tingling sensations in my left thumb and index finger which I never had before. ... kitti - thanks. I did end up getting in to see a second opinion - they want to do ACDF C3-C4 and C4-C5 - she doesn't want to do the C5-C6 level because of my age. I am finding it all very overwhelming to think about having neck surgery as I have a young child, can't get a job until I have recovered, and I guess just because it is a scary thing. I guess I am more afraid of... (17 replies)

... hi. I had similar MRI results, I held off of surgery until the pain and loss of movement got the better of me. I was so scared about neck surgery. I had an ACDF, anterior cervical disk fusion at the c4-c5, c5-c6. Being fused at two disk sites that connect, I was told of possible loss of range of motion of my neck. They surgery was successfully done in 2007 and I was pain free... (6 replies)

... To start with, you have developmental canal stenosis, which means that your spinal canal is too narrow TO START WITH. That's hereditary. It means that anything that intrudes into the canal over time can have an exaggerated effect because the spinal cord and the nerve roots have no leeway (and you have plenty of things intruding, I'm sorry to say). C2-3 - This is a level... (7 replies)
