... Hi Ron, Hi have had C5-6-7 fused a number of years ago. 5/6 are plated with bone from my hip for the fusion. 6/7 is unplated with donor bone. The fusion (6/7)broke across the top surface in 2002. That's another story. The pain you are having is likely from the "blown" disc. C6/7 vents out each side your Ulnar nerve for each arm/hand. C5/6 vents the Radial nerve for both... (80 replies)

... The pain in my neck is just about as bad as it was before surgery, but the pain in my shoulder isn't as bad. They fixed C5-C6, but C4-C5 and C6-C7 also had some problems. I am hoping that they will not have to go back in & fix these. I do need to go back for my year checkup, so maybe they can tell me something then. ssmith (6 replies)
