I am a weight lifter and would get a bout of severe neck pain. The first time it happened I went to an orthopedist and the PA just dismissed it as a pulled muscle. ... hi, I cannot tell you if this procedure is best for you, that is your Surgeons job. I can just give you my opinion. Have you had a second opinion???? Do you know the pros and cons of this surgery????? Have you tried Physical Therapy???? What tests have you had eg. MRI-CAT SCAN MYELOGRAM?? Have you had an EMG??? ... Hey everyone, Has anyone had a fusion without screws or plates? Had fusion on c5-6 in June. Neuro said to use plating would be overkill. Donor bone was used. Still don't know if I am fused or starting to fuse. Still in alot of pain, have new pain in right shoulder. The left arm was the reason for surgery. ... Hi everyone, I recently had c5/6 facet blocks for the third time, and due to right arm pain I also had a nerve block at c6. The arm pain went and my headaches which were shocking have gone on the right which seems odd? ... Could some please explain to me what a syrinx is? Is it the same as a bone spur. I had a fusion done at level c5-6 about 2 years ago. The surgery went fine. I felt really good for the first year.
