My neck swelling is going down, but now most of my back and arm muscles are getting sore from using them to rollover, get up etc, instead of my neck and shoulder muscles. ... Hi Dorthell, Glad you are doing fine. If you saw how they do the ADCF you wouldn't wonder why your throat is a bit sore. However, another consideration might be that typically a plate at C5/6 will encroach on the back of the esophageous. You might have a bit of irritation there for a while. Afterward, you will hardly be aware of the plate, if at all. I've had one since 1991... (10 replies)
