... Hi Sadie, Yes I have had a formainotomy at c6-7 ro remove a large spur. The surgery did remove almost all of the spur but surgeon wasnt able to get the entire spur out. Hopefully someone will come along to help you out further. My surgery was not a good one as I ended up with a staph infection and was hospitalized again. Lori (1 replies)

... HI JDOG, I had a similar problem. I had an ACDF c5-6-7 with plate, hardwear an my own bone for the graft. I did not fuse ( due to too much bone installed) and ended up with the bone growing into spurs posteriorly cuasing spinal stenosis and major pain. Am I correct in saying that you have arm pain???? That is exactly what made me pursue 2nd opinions. The only test that revealed exactly what was going on was the ct/myeolgram. ... hi, I had acdf c5-6-7 in October and had that throat feeling/lump for months. I still have episodes if it now and I am 7 months post-op. I wansn't able to swallow anything hard for at least 2 months. I also have bouts of scratchy, hoare throat. Unfortunatly, I am a smoker. A call to NS would'nt hurt. Hope you are feeling better soon.
