... I am the wife of a 40 year old man that has had five lower back surgeries. He is suffering from failed back syndrome as a result of his first fusion. The best thing that you can do is remain nicotine free. My husband is a smoker and, even with the patch, for some reason, the nicotine impedes the fusion. Can I ask the name of the doctor who will perform your "redo surgery."... (10 replies)
