... I have been having pain in my neck for a long time due to an auto accident I had about 10 years ago. At the time I was told i had severe whiplash and underwent PT and massage therapy. It never really helped. Flash forward to about 3 years ago and I had an MRI and is showed my C3-C4 was bulging along with my C4-C5 and C5-C6 I went to see a NS who told me it was normal and... ... I (had) a 4mm c4-5 herniated disc last year w/impingement and some kind of stenosis. So far, I did P/T, traction, magnets, and (you name it). I'm still getting upper arm pain radiating down just above elbow and some shoulder pain. Intense at times and it is driving me crazy. Is this from the c4-5? I thought in time all herniations get better. I'm taking bottles of... (2 replies)
... I have a C4/5 central stenosis with cord flattening and have a constant achy neck. My shoulders and middle back hurt all the time as well. I do not have the trouble walking as you do mine is all upper body. My arms, hands, and fingers are affected. I have noticed occasionally some light headedness and blurry vision even with glasses. Im not sure that is involved or not. I... (3 replies)
... I have had my 3rd C-Spine MRI last week. The new Scan shows a herniation at c4/5 that is just barely touching the spinal cord. I am not talking the thecal sac, it is indenting through the thecal sac and now just barely touching the spinal cord itself. This is not the right side but not far enough to the right to impinge on the exiting nerve. The MRI report states it is... (3 replies)
... Well to be fair the dr who told me that at the pain clinic wasn't actually charging me personally anything as it was all coveredby government subsidies, neurologist on the other hand not so much. Yeh i can type up the MRI report, i think its lacking sufficient detail about the disc at the corresponding level though (go figure): Sagittal T1, T2, STIR and transverse T2 images... (11 replies)

... Hello everyone, I was wondering if some of you can share your experiences with injections for pain relief. Do they do injections so that they can get swelling in your Cspin and other areas to calm down? I constantly feel like I have spasams and pain in neck and shoulder. It is tingly and may even be slighlty burning deep in the shoulder blade area. I see a neuro doc... (3 replies)
... This post was rather old but I feel compelled to answer. I too suffer from impingement of c3-c7 but it is only touching the thecal sac and not the cord and I can certainly sympathise with your balance issues. I feel off kilter constantly, have a hard time doing the things you mentioned, but I can bend over to brush teeth but when I stand up straight I feel like I could fall... (3 replies)
... I had C4 to C7 spinal stenosis almost or slightly impinging on the cord (I think C6-C7 was the worst area). My balance was off for months prior to diagnosis/surgery. I travel a lot and escellators in airports were impossible the last few months. Surgery was in Sept. I was through ATL airport twice this past weekend and did the very long escellators there with no problem... (3 replies)
