... Hello, Hope someone has had this surgery. I am awaiting a cervical disectomy with corepectomy. I have 2 herniated discs C34 C45 pressing on my nerve and causing compression. I had my first Orto appt the last of Feb. The ortho said I need surgery and he will take out the bad vertebrae and file down the bone spurs. ... Hello, I had a ACDF with corepectomy on 4-22-03. Mine was C3-C7. I was in surgery for 3 hours. I came out wearing a Miami J Brace for 8 weeks. I had 2 ruptured discs and they were causing spinal cord compression. I got along fairly good after surgery. I had a bad sore throat but it went away within a couple days. Had my xray and Dr says he is alil concerned you can see cut marks in 2 places where I have not fused. I have a plate and six screws over these fusions. The pain is a tingling pain that begins at the base of my neck and runs up the back of my head and over to my forehead. My scalp is really tender.
