... I've had a ton of surgeries and the ACDF was one of the easiest. Going through the front of the neck they don't go through muscle. So for many the post surgical pain is minimal. The collar can cause some muscle spasm so I found I needed muscle relaxers after the surgery. ... (25 replies)
