... We call Kelowna BC as home, however we actually live in Calgary Alberta. I had my surgery at the new Surgical Tower at Foothills Hospital in Calgary. Our plans are to move back to Kelowna in 3 years! I was very impressed with the new tower at Foothills Hospital. I'm sure glade medical covered 100% of the cost! I wonder what this 5 hour surgery actually cost? (4 replies)

... It all depends on how you heal. If you are a "sweller" then it may take a long time for the swelling to go away. I am and it took a while. Heat helps the blood flow in the area and helps to remove the excess fluid in the tissues. And ice can help to keep it from coming back after doing something strenuous or PT. On the tightness and pain after coming out of your collar...it... (6 replies)

... Hi Jadobe, Your story is very similar to mine. I broadsided a bus and damaged C5-6. I am now 3 weeks post-op. The surgery was the right thing for me to do and I am much relieved of pain. He also explained why he did not repair those... (22 replies)
