... This is me today - 3 weeks from the same surgery (C6/7) and I'm 5' 2" and gained 10 lbs. I started jogging exactly the same as you (jog /walk for 4 miles) and FINALLY feel like my normal self again but worry that I'm doing something wrong. ... I can relate to what you went thru. I had ACDF back in 2002 using my own bone from hip also. My surgery went fine, it was during recovery time that all went bad. Of course I do not know alot of what happened as I was in coma state for 4 days. They say it was negatvie pressure pulmonary edema. ... (9 replies)

... Hi Milton, I had a 3 level ACDF and posterior hardware added from C2-C5 raise my head in 10/10. I am now totally fused from C2-T3. Your question of incontinence is interesting as Ive noticed some strange things since the surgery. I've read this is a problem that can occur. I would talk to the doctor for sure about that.
