Thanks guys for all of your ideas! They are very helpful! Joshsmith_99, I think you’re absolutely right, I think my problem is that I’m terrified of getting turned down. I also think that his problem is that he doesn't really know what he wants... he's never had or wanted a girlfriend before, and now he's starting to think, "Maybe I do want one."

I’m also really confused as to what to do, because if we do go out, things might be awkward at volleyball, since sometimes we go one road trips and sleep in the same hotel rooms. Not that I would do anything, but it might be a little awkward sharing a room with him and other teens. And if I get rejected, for the rest of my volleyball career there, everyone there will be, “Haha, she asked Bob out and he totally rejected her.”

Is there a way I could say something about it that gets the point across, but doesn’t totally set me up for, “We, are you serious, you like me, and I doubt he’d say something like that, but that’s what it would feel like. I don’t know, maybe something subtle??

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! :)
