I do understand your words for her to realize but remember that it has past. She realizes her mistake and now will have to pay up to it on what the courts decide. You and no other person can't tell me that you never made a mistake or did something careless like driving.

I do think that driver license age should get bump up to 18 but that is my opinion. When I was 16 I remember how much of a distraction friends can be. It takes only one time (like in this case) for someone to realize how responsible they should be as a driver.
No I dont think you do understand unless you recieve a phone call telling you a loved one has been in an accident.Thats not how it always sir they dont always learn a lesson and thats the problem! ,the girl that hit my girlfriend had 2 other accidents and was only (17 years old )that she was found faulted for. I see how these people drive every day and there are more careless drivers out there today than there are careful drivers. When I was 16 I knew I better be real careful or I would be walking. And if your friends are that much of a distraction that you can not control your car at all times then for your own sake if nobody elses then they should not be permitted to ride with you.And yes I still have a perfect driving record after 20 years of driving, yep I have had some close calls but that was the result of a careless person driving, I value my life as well as my cars and also respect other drivers unlike others maybe you have to be a fireman that has cut bodies out of cars to realize what a car can do when it is operated by someone talking on a cell phone or not paying attention and you know what? its usally the person that caused the crash that walks away uninjured.Hopefully you will never recieve a phone call from someone that you love screaming on the other end they ended up in the median almost rolling their vehicle because some careless little teenybopper was talking on her cell phone and didnt use her mirror when changing lanes!!

I do appreciate people who do care for the road like you. From my past post I was looking at this girls case and I didn;t mean to insult you and I am sorry if i done that.

What I meant to say and it must have gotten out wrong is that we all make mistakes on the road. Younger people my age (22) or younger still have the need for speed. When I got my ticket that was a wake up call and I had other people in my van that I could have endangered. I thanked the cop for the ticket because without that I'd be the same way.

The poster now has to face court for the violation. The judge will determine her punishment and hopefully this does teach her.
