... I always heard the pull out method had a 20% failure rate, not 4%... and I have read that from many sources. Some even say 25%. I would say if you don't want to use a condom, the only way I think the pull out method would work is if you use one of those fertility predictor machines that are over 99% accurate. I don't know much about them but I'm sure you can look into it... (13 replies)
... That is true... but then that's pretty bad that condoms are BARELY more effective at preventing pregnancy! I would just be nervous to only use the pull out method just in case. It's a risk you must be willing to make. I use the birth control pill as well as pulling out. ... (13 replies)
... Yes, that's about right for "typical use", but with "perfect use" (what the OP is saying) it's way down to 4%. People prefer to quote the typical use number because, well, that's how most people typically use it. Planned Parenthood pegs 'typical use' at 27% failure... (13 replies)

... And the thing about condoms is that "perfect use" includes ejaculating inside the woman, but with the withdrawl method you have to remember to never do that. HUGE difference. And condoms are good against STDs while the withdrawl method does nothing. ... (13 replies)
... NO. that will NOT elliminate ALL chance of pregnancy. There is always risk of pregnancy, especially pulling out! That is a very unsafe method! Ask yourself if you really want to risk it to have to take care of a baby at this age! Get yourself another way of BC together with pulling out. Use condoms! That will also keep you clean of most STDs. (13 replies)

They are probably the most commonly used method for the largest number of sexual sessions - and most effectively for prevention of STDs and pregnancy. There are any number of quality brands that do not reduce feeling. Besides, who thinks about a reduction in sensation when going at it hot and heavy? (13 replies)
... I think there is a lot of myth about certain methods. Is there any cientific/medical test sayong that what you say is true or it is just an estimation done by someone that rathers not to use condoms? Actually I am looking at a biology chart and the method is reported to get up to 93% of women pregnant. Againts 0-10% BC pills, and 3-36% condoms (variations due to different... (13 replies)
