I actually don't have too much facial pain - its only when my tmj is really bad -but I manage the facial pain by not chewing/clenching/or opening wide so my jaw is quite restricted. My neck muscles are like rock - its the sternocleidomastoid muscle - big triangangle from the back of my nead; into my shoulder acros the front top of my chest... (12 replies)

... Just wanted to say that's my concern too. They want to do my neck. From what I've understood the biggest issue with the neck is muscle weakness so you can't support your head - you have to prop it up or use a neck brace; the other issue with doing botox in the neck is that botox can migrate and that there is a risk that it can migrate to your vocal cords or more seriously... ... Wanted to let everyone know so far I am suviving day one. I have not experienced any of the complications like last time. But I am doing bed rest for the first 24-48 hrs. The oral surgeon actually didn't have to do that many injections like the first time because some of my muscles were still paralyzed.
