... It's hard to tell at first if it's a cold or sore throat from tmj. In my case. a sore throat from tmj can last up to two days to a new adjustment or come and go thru a stress time. So for now, I'd give it a few more days. If your throat continues to be sore more than a week, I would contact your doc. ... (2 replies)

Supposedly, yes but it would be a gradual reversal not instantaneous and would be affected by the length of time the splint was worn and the extent of the adjustment or repositioning it was designed to achieve. Any changes made to the teeth, if any, to accomodate the splint would affect the resulting bite as well. ... (3 replies)
