I am a 19-year-old female with a history of yeast infections. I've only had one sexual partner (and he's only had one partner), but neither of us have ever been tested for anything. I am not on any form of birth control.

A couple of months ago I was hit with a spontaneous, itchy rash mainly on my bum. The rash was accompanied by an intense nighttime itch both around my vulva and on the rash site itself, and I had an occasional burning sensation in what I assume is my urethra.
I got the rash checked by the doctor and he had no explanation for it, but said it wasn't anything to worry about and didn't look like herpes (the rash was red bumps but it wasn't blistery). He gave me some cream and the rash went away, but some vaginal itching and the burning sensation persisted. I used an over-the-counter yeast infection treatment and the itching subsided, but the burning continued to come and go.
Last week, during my period, the vaginal itching and burning sensation came back. There was no visible rash nor bumps. Once my period ended, the itching went away, but I still feel the burning sensation in the evening.
I've gone to the clinic twice - the first time they did a urine dip test, but said it didn't look as though I had a UTI. There's been no urine urgency or pain during urination. The burning comes and goes as it pleases. I took UTI meds anyway to see if it would help, but it didn't.
The second time I went to the clinic, the doctor was very rude. He told me that since it wasn't a UTI, it was a fungal infection of the vagina. However, I've had quite a few yeast infections and whatnot, and this is nothing like that (I usually get itching, discharge, etc, and never burning in my urinary tract). I asked him to do tests for both the fungal infection he thought it was and any STDs it might possibly be, but he refused. He told me to get an over-the-counter medication for a yeast infection, but I'm quite unconvinced that's what I have.

The only symptom I have right now is the burning in my urethra. It mainly comes on in the evening, but sometimes it randomly flairs up in the afternoon too. It's rather frustrating, especially since the clinic doctors refuse to help me. Does anyone know what this is and how to get rid of it?
