... Sorry you are going through this. 5mm is pretty normal for the postmenopausal lining. It is very possible that this slight spotting could be from vaginal or urethra atrophy and not the uterus. So, hopefully, your biopsy will be normal. Did your sister have endometrial cancer? Let us know what you find out. (13 replies)

My lining measured 18 mm and my doctor did a hysterscope which showed that I had a large uterine polyp and than he did a d&c to take out the whole lining which was sent to pathology to make sure that there was not...
