... I don't think it can spread that quickly but you do need to get the op so they can look inside and see what the situation is. If it is contained in the womb it is probably the best cancer to have (if that can be possible). They say that the bleeding is the first symptom and usually means it is early on. MrsDanni, The first thing a gyncologist considers with a thicken uterine lining is Uterine Cancer--however, quite a few post menopausal women have a thicken uterine lining and the biopsy comes back negative. If you are able to have hormones than the doctor will prescribe a form of birth control pill that contains either just progesterone or both estrogen and progesterone... (1 replies)
... hi there i had a post menopausal bleed with a 6m thickening of the uterus,had a d/c hystoroscopy,and endo biospy. my gyne has told me no cancer or pre cancer cells but because the womb has a thick lining i will have to have another biospy in 6 months time has anyone else had this result or been told to come back after what seems to be an all clear?
