Vaccination & Immunization Message Board

Vaccination & Immunization Board Index

I actually had chicken pox, rubella and mumps. However, the only vaccine I did have was the measles vaccine and I had such as bad reaction to this, that it was as if I had had measles itself.

I am 40 years old now and I had chicken pox and mumps in the 1970's. I would have had the meaasles vaccine and reaction in the 1960's and I had rubella in the late 1970's early 1980's.

I have had blood tests that show that I have antibodies to rubella to this day and am definitely not a carrier.

By having these childhood illnesses, I have developed my own natural immunity to these diseases and I have to say that natural immunity is a lot better than vaccinated immunity. Immunity from vaccines is not does not last and that is why you need to be re-vaccinated.

I am also not a carrier of any of these childhood illnesses.

Both my children are very healthy and happy children and have no medical problems whatsoever.

If I were you, I would not let your ped scare you in this way and I have to say that the information that you have imparted here is factually incorrect.

The only viruses the you can be a carrier of are the Hepatitis viruses and Thyphoid and perhaps other infectious and tropical diseases. Have you ever heard of Typhoid Mary? Well she was very well known in her day for spreading and infecting others with Typhoid, as she was a carrier of it.

Maybe next time before you post such things you would like to do some proper research?
