Re: Flu shot okay
Jan 5, 2004
I've read several articles lately regarding the increase in the number of cases of whooping cough and measles, mainly attributed to people not having their children vaccinated. I plan to continue to get myself vaccinated for the flu each year and continue to have my children receive all the vaccinations.

Yes! The whooping cough is exactly what my son got. It was terrible. I never want to have to go through that again. But... the good thing is, he was vaccinated, and thats what saved his life. He got the whooping cough any way, but it wasnt as bad as it could of been without the shot. Without the shot he proabably wouldnt be with us today!
Just to put the other side of the coin. No vaccine is 100% effective and the face that your son had the whooping cough vaccine and still got whooping cough is a strong testament to this.

You really can't tell either how bad it would have been.

Also, some of these infections are also to do with your susceptibilities. You can be around people who have flu and other things, but if you are not susceptible to it at that particular time, then you will not get it however much you mix with them.
Actually on the contrary. I do know how bad off my son would have been without the shot. Its a known fact... that children who do have the shot, and do aquire a disease such as whooping cough, get it much much worse. My son was bad as it was. Do your research on the whooping cough and you will find out what I am talking about. I lived it. I can speak from experience. I am also in the medical field, and am very up to date on such things.
Flu shots contain thimerasol, which is MERCURY--the second most toxic substance on earth. Do you truly think ANYONE needs to put that voluntarily into their bodies, or the body of their baby with an undeveloped immune system.

I think NOT!
Just read an article that indicated the whooping cough vaccine and several others no longer contain thimerasol and that the flu vaccine is also available without it. Some vaccines still contain trace amounts of it, but still a LOT less than what the average person who might eat a tunafish sandwich or any other type of fish may get.
